Whelan*Flynn

Susan Whelan and Meredith Flynn are the co-authors of the humorous cookbook Keep the Table Laughing. They grew up in adjacent suburbs of Newcastle, NSW. They met at high school in 1984 and have shared many adventures and misadventures since then. Presently they are both mainly occupied by their roles as mothers with Susan narrowly holding the lead with three children to Meredith's two (although Meredith points out that she has retired from the game due to a suspected concussion).

They both enjoy relaxing meals with friends, curling up with a good book and spending time with their families. Morning tea with the girls generally involves the swapping of recipes, dissection of the celebrity crisis du jour, discussions on politics and religion, and lots of chocolate. It often rolls right through lunch and into afternoon tea.
